🕊 It has begun: the nomination of candidates for the first annual Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize is now open.
The prize will be awarded for outstanding activities aimed at promoting universal and equal security based on the priority of international law, preventing a nuclear disaster, and building a multipolar world, and for other activities aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and trust, as well as international peace and cooperation.
Candidates can be nominated by:
• interparliamentary and other international organisations,
• parliaments,
• governments and other bodies of power,
• public foundations, organisations and movements,
• academic and research centres, educational establishments,
• associations of science, culture and arts workers,
• members of the jury of the prize.
🌐 The winners will be chosen by a respected international jury of public figures, politicians and writers, representatives of culture and science, and members of business communities from Russia and the countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
📨 Nominations are to be sent to the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize Foundation at 121069, Moscow, PO box 38. The documents are to be provided in Russian and English.
