We would welcome the opportunity to speak to you regarding this position as well as to answer any questions you might have regarding the company. PRINCIPLE DUTIES: • Some prior experience as a Maintenance Tech in hotel, hospital, or apartment environment a plus • Maintains the physical facilities through a structured program of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repair maintenance • A variety of plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting, and HVAC system repairs. • Analytical approach to problem-solving • Ability to work, communicate and maintain positive guest and colleague relations • Strong attention to detail • Multi-tasking • Software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word • Effective written and verbal communication skills SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards. • Self-motivated, reliable and hard working with a strong work ethic. • Maintain exterior grounds for safety as well as cleanliness and appearance. • Liaise with the Housekeeping Manager to arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities, in accordance with occupancy. • Complete routine and capital repairs as directed. • Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests. • Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g., power outages). • Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy. • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers. • Maintain purchases as per budget. • All other duties as assigned by Department Head or Hotel Manager Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Hourly- $16.75 to $18.75 Benefits: • Dental care • On-site parking • Store discount • Vision care Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Holidays • Night shift • Weekend availability https://www.canvasmoncton.com/
