It so happens that PSG has big ambitions for the club, and so there is a desire to modernize the Parc de Prince. Firstly, to renovate, because the stadium is somewhat outdated. It was renovated in the early part of 2010', but it needs a more extensive renovation. Second, the idea is to increase its capacity. They have a 30-year lease, leasing Parc de Princes from the city of Paris, which owns it. But they would like to start the investment phase and they say - I can understand their shareholder logic - we will only put 500 or 600 million euros into the works if we are the owners. Selling Parc de Princes is not a priority option for us. It is the heritage of the city, of Parisians. Negotiations with the city are ongoing today. We said that before we decide if we want to sell, we need to agree on a price. Obviously, today we have not yet concluded negotiations. Could this be blackmail? I don't like the word blackmail, but it certainly sounds like a negotiating pressure tactic. I don't think it's the right method. We're not sensitive to any pressure, and I'm not sure that this (apparently a move) would be to the fans' liking... Paris Saint-Germain and Parc de Prens are closely linked. Can we imagine Marseille leaving the Velodrome and Lens Bollaert-Delelis? No. More and more clubs own their own stadiums? True, so this is a fact that we must integrate into PSG's development strategy. But that's no reason to impose it on everyone. Are we ready to sell the Parc? It would be more accurate to say that selling Parc is not our priority option. Our priority is to keep the current option with a long-term lease. The options that are on the table are clearly not our preference, and they know it. But my preference is to continue discussions with Paris Saint-Germain, and we can go back to the media focus on sports performance. I even wonder what they will do with their "legacy" if PSG turns around and leaves to build a stadium in Poissy, where a lot of land has been bought. 🤔
