Albert and Giselle’s encounter at the beginning of the first act. Strong plot twist right from the start. One of the most difficult moments for a dancer. You go on stage, your heart is pounding, your lips are treacherously dry, your hands are shaking, your legs are not fully obeying yet, and here you need maximum act the most natural, really immerse yourself in the role. Being little and watching Giselle, I used to not get how was it possible - they just met and immediately there was such a strong feeling that betrayal immediately drove Giselle crazy. Years later when I began digging deeper, I realized for me there was no other option of the story but the one where this was not their first meeting. They’ve known and loved each other for a while, or so it seems to Giselle, she believes in this. And during the first act, she still does not realize this, but a feeling of doubt appears inside her and, supported by circumstantial evidence, is growing, but she refuses to accept it. What happens next, I think, many of you know, and if not, then we will definitely talk about it in detail later.
