Unicorn nest is seeking a Venture Data Journalist. Candidate will be responsible for writing analytical articles about recent significant venture capital rounds. The peculiarity of these articles is that it is necessary not only to describe the fact of the investment deal, but also to give a short analysis of its participants, highlight possible insights, and make an assumption about future rounds. Previous experience in journalism is not necessary, but applicants should possess a love of writing, inquiry and debate.

To apply, applicants should submit an original unpublished article of up to 700 words suitable for publication in Unicorn Nest News Feed (https://unicorn-nest.com/media/news/), along with an updated resume. Of these, the most important is the original article, which should demonstrate analytical rigor and wit. We will read your article blind without considering your CV to create a shortlist of candidates. The deadline for applications is September 6th, 2020.


Responsibility:
Candidate will handle the whole process of news articles creation: searching for a relevant events across the media, their deep analysis, composing and proofreading of the text, publication of the text on our resource. Throughout this process, the candidate will receive one of our senior analysts as a mentor. The required volume of articles is 3 daily from Monday to Friday.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in venture capital industry
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Strong writing skills - ability to produce clean, grammatically correct text
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Advanced English
- Experience developing data-driven editorial content will be a plus
