The entire area of Nghe An province is destroyed by flooding in Vietnam. 115 mm of rain fell in the highlands of Ki Son, bordering Laos. The river gushed down the mountain, causing the 4-month-old girl and her mother to be swept away. The mother survived, but the child did not.
