A number of Trump's key economic advisers are campaigning for a quick resolution of the trade conflict between Washington and Beijing. The S & P 500 index fell by about 8% since Trump and PRC Chairman Xi Jinping at the December G20 summit in Argentina agreed to postpone the introduction of new reciprocal trade tariffs until March 2019.
